I saw another article with a very thorough description of what the vet found while doing the necropsy on this poor battered cat.

He would have stood a chance had he been hit by a car. With the injuries he endured, it was almost comparable to being hit by a truck... twice. What a vicious rage he endured, until mercifully, drowning in his own blood, he took his last breath.

Poor little soul... I hope the judge gives this 'human' a few years in prison. And I hope he ends up with a 6'3" cellmate who really loves cats.
