North Vancouver resident Gunda Fernandes won over the heart of this abandoned mother cat and her kittens over a period of many weeks by quietly and gently feeding and watching until the frightened mother cat came to trust her and allowed Gunda to groom her and pat her.

Thanks to Gunda's innate compassion the mother cat and kittens were finally humanely trapped and all rehomed.
